We were lucky enough to spend some time chatting with Shelley, the woman who helped bring Cali Press to New Zealand. She wasn’t the first to suggest this to the brand, but she was the first to be told yes. That alone should show you want kind of driven and talented Babe she is, and is one of the reasons we both ended up with massive Babe crushes after talking to her.

"It's really important to look at what your idea is and see if there's value in working with something existing or starting something from scratch."

On this episode Shelley takes us through the journey of choosing a business and how she decided to buy into an existing one instead of building a new one. She gives advice for Babes about trusting your intuition and the part this plays in her own life. This is something we all need to remember to do!

"I think timing is everything. I really believe in trusting your intuition."

Shelley gives us some insight into how Cali Press has gone gangbusters on social media and why this is their marketing tool of choice. If you’re a brand considering social, this episode will help you decide if that’s for you. And btws, it probably is.

As a solo mama Shelley knows all about this idea of “balance” that is bandied around the place. We loved her refreshing take on it and her ease of admitting that balance is not for her. It’s about time we were all more open about this, so we’re pleased this Babe is leading the way!

"Balance is really hard to achieve. We hear that word a lot these days and it puts more pressure on us as something we HAVE to achieve."

This is an episode every working mum should listen to, every busy biz owner, everyone who wants to own a business someday - so every Babe should listen to this really!
