Season 1
The Fall of Shiganshina - Eren, Mikasa & Armin escapes the sudden appearance of the Colossal and armoured titan.
Humanity’s Comeback - Everyone trains to join the cadets. We meet all of the main characters. Ends with them fully trained 5 years later when the Colossal Titan appears out of nowhere again. Eren fights back.
The Struggle for Trost - Eren launches a counterattack against the Titans. His entire squad gets killed, Eren loses a leg and Armin gets cornered by a titan. Eren gets killed saving Armin.
The Struggle for Trost - We learn about Mikasa and Eren's backstory. Mikasa finds Armin and learns that Eren is dead, they try to get to the supply depot to refuel so they can escape. Mikasa runs out of gas and falls to the ground where she becomes cornered by two titans. As she gives up one of the titans attacks the other, stamping on his nape to kill him. Armin swoops in and they make it to the supply depot. Once there they kill the titans inside the depot. The abnormal titan continues to fight and kill other titans.
The Struggle for Trost - We see Eren in the stomach of the bearded titan when he suddenly transforms into the titan that had been killing other titans. It is revealed that Eren was in the nape of the titan and as the body evaporates he pops out. Mikasa saves him. Eren, Armin and Mikasa are being threatened by scared cadets that are pointing cannons and guns at them because of Eren being a titan. Armin discovers his purpose which is his mind and tackle thinking. High ranking general arrives to stop them getting killed.
The Struggle for Trost - Eren and the general work together to form a plan to block the hole in the gate with a massive boulder. They all work together until eventually (through lots of character building) they successfully block the entrance, marking the first victory against the Titans in 105 years.
Eve of the Counter Attack - We have the trial of Eren where the Scout regiment want him to help fight back against the Titans and the military police want to experiment on him. Scouts win and we get introduced to captain Levi and Levi squad, the most elite titan kills all chosen by Levi, the strongest warrior in Attack On Titan. The arc ends with the Scouts beginning their 57th expedition beyond the walls.
The 57th Exterior Scouting Mission - The mission begins with the scouts breaking into their scouting formation. We meet the female titan, another titan that is controlled by a person. She lets Armin live and after a fight with Jean and Reiner, she begins running towards the centre of the formation, going after Eren. The formation reaches the forest of giant trees and Levi squad desperately run from the female titan. Flashback to Eren and Levi squad. Ends with Eren trusting his squad and Levi. Female titan gets captured. Revealing the whole plan from the start was to capture her.
The 57th Exterior Scouting Mission - After the scouts try to find out who the female titan is she screams and tons of titans come and eat her. The scouts retreat when a mole, the female titan in human form attacks Levi squad. The female titan then kills all of Levi squad and it’s heartbreaking. She captures Eren when Mikasa and Levi join the chase to get him back. They eventually succeed and retreat back to the walls. Their right to have Eren is revoked upon their return and failure.
Assault on Stohess - We follow a day with Annie in the military police before she finds Armin looking for her in an ally. She agrees to help smuggle Eren into the interior but when they ask her to go underground she refuses. It’s then revealed that she is the female titan and a massive fight between her and Eren ensues. She tries to escape over the wall before finally being defeated. It ends with her sealing herself inside an unbreakable crystal formation and being stored underground with round the clock guarding. Series ends with a piece of the wall falling away revealing another colossal titan standing dormant within the walls.
Season 2
The season opens with a pastor of the church (there are religions that worship the walls) desperately trying to get the titan in the wall covered. It’s revealed that walls are made of colossal titans. We then catch up with the rest of the cast and are introduced to the beast titan, who can talk and control other titans. We also find out that the wall as been breech since there are titans inside the wall. We then spend an episode with Sasha learning about her character and then catch up with Conny as they arrive in his hometown.
It is quickly revealed that there has been no breach in the wall and the Titans came from seemingly nowhere. The group take refuge in castle ruins. Eventually, they become overrun by titans and it’s revealed that Ymir is a titan. She fights them off before the scouts arrive and kill the rest. They head back to Trost.
On top of the wall, Reiner and Bertholdt are revealed to be the Colossal and Armored Titans and they try to get Eren to come with them. A massive fight between the titans ensues with it ending with the colossal and armoured escaping with Eren and Ymir.
We get lots of character building with the titan shifters and the scouts before the scouts launch a mission to get Eren back. They chase the titan shifters and after tons of epic fighting, moments such as Mikasa's speech to Historia. Eventually, they get Eren back and Reiner starts throwing titans at the retreating scouts.
The scouts are losing with the titans surrounding them. The smiling titan that ate Eren's mother appears to eat Eren and Mikasa when Hannes attacks to make up for what he didn’t do in the first episode. He dies fighting her and Eren fails to transform. As the titan reaches down he eats him he throws a punch at her and out of nowhere every titan attacks the smiling titan. Reiner and Bertholdt reveal that he is “the coordinate” and everyone retreats. It ends by revealing that all the titans in Connies hometown were the people that used to live there and they were transformed. Erens vows to save humanity. It ends with a man emerging from the beast titan standing on top of wall rose stating, “not just yet”.
