In this episode of “Battling And Beating Cancer” we tackle the critical issue of what causes lymphoma, as world renowned cancer researchers from InterLymph join Charlene and Scott to discuss their cutting edge research on the epidemiology of lymphoma.
The International Lymphoma Epidemiology Consortium (InterLymph) is an international group of leading medical investigators engaged in research on the epidemiology (causation) of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. One of the most common questions we hear is “what causes lymphoma” or “what causes cancer.” Curiosity may kill a cat, but a better understanding of “what causes cancer” will save untold lives through prevention and better treatments. Further, collaboration among leading researchers across the globe benefits all of us by accelerating the advancement of medical knowledge and more effective treatments.
Joining us will be esteemed medical researchers: Dennis Weisenburger, University of Nebraska; Tina Clarke, Cancer Prevention Institute of California; Sophia Wang, City of Hope; and Claire Vajdic, University of South Wales. These researchers share insights in advance of InterLymph's annual meeting.
Chicago Blood Cancer Foundation and Lymphoma Coalition have joined forces to bring together this international panel. “Causation” and “collaboration” are the key words on this episode of “Battling And Beating Cancer.”
