Prof Peter Guthrie is the Professor of Engineering for Sustainable Development, University of Cambridge, England. Shortly after finishing University as a civil enegineer he started RedR, Engineers for Disaster Relief. He has worked for over 30 years as a consulting engineer, on such projects as high speed railways systems, such as ,High Speed 1 . Listen to his great story about the sustainability of the London Olympic Games. Currently he is engaged through Lloyds Register Foundation and Arup with "the Resilience Shift". A programme to make cities more resilient. He has a great passion for educating and shifting engineers away from making cities fragile and brittle.
