Jason Wahler Steps Behind the Rope. Yes, that Jason Wahler from the hit TV shows Laguna Beach, The Hills and The Hills: New Beginnings. Mic Drop. Need we say anything more? Ok, Jason stopped by to discuss the amazing advocacy work he uses his platform for in order to help those who are struggling with substance abuse, addiction, and feelings of inadequacy. Jason’s work serves as a resource to help those who don't know where to begin, or turn, to get the help they need in order to realize recovery is possible and life is absolutely worth living. Of course, we also discuss those three aforementioned hot MTV “reality” shows. Jason takes us back to the beginning when he was just a high school student whose friends - Lauren Conrad, Kristin Cavallari, Stephen Colletti, and Lo Bosworth - were cast on a TV show about their high school, otherwise known as Laguna Beach High. We discuss how Jason got involved in the show, how that show, Laguna Beach, spun off into The Hills and how, overnight, he could no longer go to the gas station or mall or mailbox without being recognized. With fame, the issues he was already struggling with became exacerabted, and he quickly spiralled out of control. There were public arrests and intoxication which eventually lead to rock bottom. Jason shares what that was like and how he eventually sought the help he needed through Dr Drew and other available resources to eventually make this his “life’s work”. Jason answers all of our questions, once and for all, about what specific scenes, events and happenings in The Hills were real and which were not real. We also discuss his involvement in LC forever being known as the girl who didn't go to Paris. Of course, we needed to know all about The Hills: New Beginnings - his wife Ashley's involvement, Speidi, Brody Jenner and of course last, but certainly not least, Queen Mischa Barton. Finally, Jason shares the status of filming for Season Two (RIP Mischa) and when we can expect this classic reality king to appear back on our beloved TV sets. An episode not to be missed.
