Roger Moss is the third School Board President candidate we will be talking to. Roger says he is running because he wants to instill, “A culture of excellence” throughout the Savannah-Chatham school system.” Roger is a long time resident with a big personality. Within the community he has started two Charter Schools and he’s played a significant role in popular classical musical projects including The Savannah Children’s Choir.

Roger has stated, “Getting our students up to level is critical, too many kids are failing and we must solve this.”

Dr. Sid Chapman is the former President of the Georgia Association of Educators (GAE), a state affiliate of the National Educators Association. Before taking the helm as the leader of Georgia’s oldest statewide teaching organization, Dr. Chapman taught high school social studies as well as English for technical college and trade school. During the early years of his teaching

career, Dr. Chapman received statewide recognition and honors for being a true trailblazer among his peer educators in Georgia.
