Kris and David are guestless as we discuss the week that was December 28, 1992-January 3, 1993.

  • We start off with WCW and Starrcade ’92 featuring BATTLEBOWL: THE LETHAL LOTTERY and the finals of the KING OF CABLE tournament. We talk about how the show top to bottom wasn't great, but it was newsworthy and featured a match between Sting and Big Van Vader that is must-see. We also have Hank Aaron showing up with “Cowboy” Bill Watts to present the 1991 Battlebowl ring to Sting, flat world title matches, lots of wacky teams, the greatness of Barry Windham, and much more from that show. Outside of Starrcade, we talk about Big Van Vader regaining the WCW World Title from Ron Simmons in the same city he lost it in, Arn Anderson cutting an amazing promo on Erik Watts on TV, Ric Flair's imminent arrival, and lots more.
  • Then we go international, complete with Dave Meltzer n Japan for a tour, and we get some live reports from Dave, including from shows that you wouldn't expect him to be at. We also talk about Chris Adams running a tour of Nigeria, Chaz Taylor in AAA, suspensions in CMLL, and lots more.
  • Next, we come back to the United States, where Smoky Mountain is selling a lot of tapes, Jerry Lawler and Mike Miller are fighting at people's houses in Memphis, there are managers galore in the GWF, and much more.
  • We then close with the WWF, where Phil Mushnick wrote about Nailz in the New York Post, “NARCISSUS” is on his way, Kamala’s babyface turn starts on TV, an interesting Torch item about why Jerry Lawler hired, and much more that went down during our week.

A fine way to close out 2022 for BTS, and we thank all of you for listening; please keep up your support in 2023!!!
