Join hosts Andy Ferguson and Carlos Calderon as they take you Beyond the Horns and into the heart of Shepherd University Athletics! In the first segment of this episode, Andy and Carlos start out by discussing the New York Jets’ questionable play calling on Sunday, if it was an example of “tanking” in American professional sports, if tanking affects the integrity of sports, and what is a potential way to fix losing on purpose? After discussing opinions on tanking for draft picks, Carlos gives his quote of the week coming straight from one of the NFL’s great legends.
In the second segment, they chat with Assistant Football Coach and Head Football Strength and Conditioning Coach Hussam Ouri to learn more about his life, his journey to Shepherd as a player and coach, the unique position of being involved with the football program and strength program, how COVID has impacted his roles this past year, and finally what 2021 may look like for the SU Football Program! To finish, they close out the show with a game of This or That to learn some of the fun side of Coach Ouri.
