Since the beginning of the 20th century, we have lost over 95% of the world's wild tiger population.
Celebrated on the 29th of July, Global Tiger Day was launched during the last Chinese Year of the Tiger (2010), with the aim to double the global population of wild tigers by the next Year of the Tiger (2022).
