Michael Stoz started to turn the wheels of steel at the age of fifteen. Coming from classic turntableism, his style soon started to develop itself towards Electronica. Hearing Richie Hawtin and Magda play at the infamous Zurich Streetparade drew him to the monotone and incessant beats of Minimal and Techno.
For the past five years, Meikel has been playing his music regularly in and around Zurich. Since 2007 he is also producing his own beats, still trying to explore new ways to develop his very own style of music and mixing.
Nowadays, he defines his music as playful disco and drum-kit influenced minimal and techno. Dark melodies, sporadic acid-riffs and rough bass-lines are what Meikel‘s music stands for.
As a professional Graphic Artist, he‘s also concerned and involved with the visualisation of his sound; a personal future goal is therefore to create matching visuals for his music.
