- Feeling like an outsider

- Feelings of anger and resentment

- Acknowledge and accept your feelings
- Involve yourself
- Bond with the child
- Be yourself
- Communicate your needs and feelings
- Practice self care
- Have date nights and alone time
- Separate your feelings for the child from bio parent
- Don't take it personal
