After Jackie Robinson's playing career ended, he hosted a syndicated radio show called Jackie Robinson's Radio Shots. In 1960 Jackie Robinson spoke with long-time baseball executive Branch Rickey on The Continental League (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Continental_League). Rickey had revolutionized the game twice—first instituting Spring Training and the farm system in the 1920s and later as the executive responsible for signing Jackie Robinson in 1945. The Continental League never got off the ground, but it did lead to Major League Baseball expanding in 1961 and 1962. Jackie Robinson and Branch Rickey's lifetime friendship lasted until Rickey passed away in 1965.
