In 1914 David Sarnoff, then 23, met Edwin Howard Armstrong, then 24, at Marconi's Belmar, NJ station to test Howard Armstrong's new invention. This invention would go on to revolutionize the wireless telegraphic landscape and lead directly to the birth of voice transmissions, what we have come to know as radio broadcasting.
