Podcasters need music for their podcasts, but licensing restrictions make it difficult to do this legally. And the most common "legal" option, royalty-free music from sites like Audio Jungle or YouTube's Production Library, is a risk because the same music you license can end up on hundreds of different podcasts, commercials, and other projects.

As an example, I was once in the waiting room of a doctor's office when I heard a popular podcast's "theme song" coming from the television above. I looked up to see a commercial for blood pressure medicine.

One solution that will give you something that is both legal to use and unique to your podcast is custom music composed just for you. In this episode, I talk about my experience with musician Roy Matz and share how you can get in touch with him for your own custom podcast music.
