When we visit retail stores, the first thing we expect is a friendly, and warm greeting with an offer of assistance. But do we experience the same service with online retailers? Why are so many retailers still missing the opportunity to create a sense of relationship with real time engagement when customers visit their online stores? If you have an eCommerce store how do you engage? Do you have an option for your customers to use an Online Chat Systems or even Facebook Chat from your store?
This allows a virtual customer experience representative behind a keyboard monitoring users and engaging by offering assistance. Plus the first call to action can also be automated in many cases.
With the ability to monitor the traffic using Google Analytics you can see the perfect time to have live consultants as after “9-5” might be the best time to engage with your customers.
Online can be a great way to build a brand, however, customer experience is key to this growth and having this level of service is a must.
