We’ve been taking a lot of our free time over the past few months studying 2 types of people.

1. Old school marketing guys.

Guys like Jay Abraham. Dan Kennedy. Eugene Schwartz.

2. New school media entrepreneurs.

Shane Smith (Vice.com), Jonah Peretti (BuzzFeed.com), Grant Cardone, Tai Lopez (love him or hate him, his brand is on fire), Gary Vee and others.

What’s interesting is that these 2 groups seem very different from the outside looking in.

The secret that no one wants to tell you is that they are actually the same.

And they all do 3 things great.

These are the 3 things you need to focus on in your business. If they take you 24 hours everyday to do then so be it. Hustle. Grind.

But if you focus, and focus intently on these 3 things in your business, you’ll have a better business, better customers and more importantly, a better life. A more ambitious life.

So what are the3 things you need to focus on in your business?

1. A Media Platform.

Everyone on that list above owns and controls their own media. Whether they were old school with print newsletters (which are NOT dead, btw) to mega blogs, video shows, Podcasts, email lists, Facebook Groups – every single one of those experts has media that builds their legend and embeds their brand into their readers head.

2. A Sales System.

Businesses can’t exist without a sales system. We all must sell things in order to survive. Want a major truth bomb – until you sell something all you have is a hobby.

3. A Bold Mindset.

The world doesn’t need more people playing small ball. The world doesn’t need more people protesting to get the minimum wage raised. The world needs more people thinking big. The world needs more people dreaming. The world needs people to be more ambitious.

Every day you should be working on these 3 things.

  • You should be creating media for yourself and your brand.
  • You should be selling, or building systems to sell your product for you.
  • You should be expanding your mind – reading, researching and turning your ideas into actions.

If those are the only 3 things you do on a daily basis, you will be unstoppable.
