Hello this is Jonathan Jay - and welcome to episode 153 of the Business Buying Strategies podcast.

So this week, my guest is James Gardner - an entrepreneur who started a business with his brother 20 years ago, grew it, expanded into the USA and then sold it, with James retained by the business’s new owners.

Now last year James was one of a dozen or so lucky people to spend the day with me, on a business excursion to Amsterdam, when I was able to advise him one to one about the next steps he should take to acquire his next business.

As you’ll here, his acquisition opportunity came about following a casual, throwaway conversation he had with a business owner in a barber’s shop. Here’s James telling his story.
