With the introduction of their cognitive platform SAP Leonardo, SAP is making a play to move from being a traditional ‘system of records’ to a front-runner for digital innovation. So where does that leave S/4 HANA? It still remains the core of SAP, but they are now focusing on an ‘AI-first’ strategy. With blockchain being integrated into SAP Leonardo, tremendous opportunities exist in machine learning. Yet, questions still remain. Among them, whether SAP is ready to compete with IBM Bluemix.
