"LINES LEFT" Tetris: Such a simple, elegant game with such a complex and convoluted back story. Leon, Josh, Karl and Leah recall the heights of their Tetris addictions and the versions (among countless versions) that worked for them and those incarnations which failed to capture the spark of Alexey Pazhitnov's original. As usual, the panel is embellished by the memories of the Cane and Rinse community, and also discuss high level play of both the NES version at The Classic Tetris World Championships, as favoured by purists - and also Arika's super-hardcore The Grand Master series with its speed 999 and its invisible tetrominoes. http://media.blubrry.com/caneandrinse/caneandrinse.com/podcast/cane_and_rinse_issue_270.mp3 Music used in this issue: 1: Tetris Theme (Game Boy version) by Hirokazu Tanaka (Russian trad.) 2: Tetris Theme (Tetris Ultimate version) by Nick Laviers (Russian trad.) Cane and Rinse 270 was edited by Sean O'Brien (@Xer0Signal). Do you have an opinion about a game we're covering that you'd like read out on the podcast? Then venture over to our forum and check out the list of upcoming games we're covering. Whilst there you can join in the conversations with our friendly community in discussing all things relating to videogames, along with lots of other stuff too. Sound good?
