What does it mean to be Catholic? Too often we can boil down the answer to this question to “sin management.” Being Catholic is not a matter of just escaping sin.
Being Catholic is about our relationship with God. It’s about God’s grace that visible to us in the Sacraments and a Sacramental life.
Getting to heaven isn’t about doing more good things than bad. It’s about cooperating with God’s amazing free gift and living the life God has created you to live.
St. Maria Goretti gives us a great example of this. She lays down her life for purity sake and is willing to forgive her attacker.
Who do you need to forgive today?
Be a hero. Be a saint.
