Why do we need to train our minds through meditation? In this podcast, Mahatria says that the man's mind is the man. Unless we transform the mind, we can't transform the man. He elaborates that human bodies are designed to localize themselves, but the mind is designed to wander. You need to train your mind because an untrained mind makes you a vagabond. Only with a trained mind, you begin to know yourself and make more mature choices. The training that we give to achieve a concentrated mind is meditation. There are many ways to calm your mind and focus. When you perform an action that makes you oblivious of everything else while being consciously engaged, it is called meditation.
