We are now 3 games into the Celtics 1st round playoff matchup with the Indiana Pacers. In game 2 and the Celtics got exactly that. The Celtics would also have Al Horford go into the game sick. The Pacers would score 91 points and have a much better performance however the Celtics would walk away victorious once again this time 99-91. As Kyrie Irving and Jayson Tatum combined for 63 points with Irving scoring 37 and Tatum adding 26. The 2 of them nearly matched the top 4 scorers for the Pacers in Bogdanovic, Young, Collison, and Evans point for point as the 4 Indy players had 64. Gordon Hayward was the only other Celtics player to get into double figures as he scored 13. The Celtics trailed by 2 points with 2:16 left to go. The Celtics proceeded to end the game on a 10-0 run going from trailing 91-89 to winning 99-89 to take a 2-0 series lead to Indy. 2 nights later in game 3 the Celtics would take a commanding 3-0 series lead with a 104-96 win down in Indiana. Kyrie Irving would not have his best game overall but he would have his best when it mattered most. The Celtics scored 41 points in the 1st quarter thanks to a fast start from Jaylen Brown who scored 12 points in the 1st quarter. The Celtics however in the 2nd quarter slowed down and would trail 61-59 at halftime.
