In this episode I discuss the important cultural variables in opioid addiction. I also discuss cultures who traditionally use opium and how opioid addiction is mediated by cultural factors within those societies. I also get into future solutions for opioid addiction, both cultural and chemical. I talk about kratom, an important ethnobotanical that could change the future of opioid addiction.
