Happy Tuesday again friends…welcome to chatologie with Angie Elkins…my guest today is Chrystal Evans Hurst. She is such an amazing woman of God, and in just a few minutes you will get to hear the chat I was so honored to get to have with her. But, before we do that, if this is your first time listening to chatologie, welcome welcome welcome and you’ve found us on a great day, because I have all kinds of fun announcements to make!
First of all, you’ve all seen me posting on Facebook and Instagram about my holiday special announcements and I’ve been chomping at the bit to tell you all the secrets. So here we go…
First, I want to let you know that I am throwing a party!!! That’s right! We are having our very first chatologie LIVE event on Thursday, November 16 at 7:00 at Philanthropy in downtown Winter Garden, Florida. The live event will be a fun, festive time with your girlfriends! Now, I’m excited to announce our special guests for chatologie live will be Stacey Thacker from episode 3 and 14 as well as my guest on episode 2, Lisa Whittle. Guys- we are going to have a great time together!!! Also, as a really cool addition, Robert and I will be premiering a few songs from our brand new Christmas project that we are releasing this year, so it will be kind of a little release party as well. My team and I have been so busy putting the ideas together for this live event and we cannot wait to see you all there. Now, here’s the deal, tickets are $15 and will go on sale to the public next Tuesday, Oct. 23 (one week from today) and there are only 40 tickets, people. That’s right, 40. It’s a very small venue. So if you’re worried about grabbing a ticket before they sell out, sign up for my newsletter at chatologie.com and you will get the link to purchase tickets before they go on sale to the public. SO that’s only the first part of my BIG announcements.
Now, I’m excited to announce that I’ve got some amazing guests lined up for the holiday episodes of chatologie. Drumroll please….
Kicking off the holiday episodes, I’ve got Kristin Schell of the Turquoise Table…and guys, she’s talking about some really fun holiday ideas she’s doing this year in her own neighborhood. Kristin and I have become fast friends and I can’t think of anyone else I’d rather have kicking off our holiday fun! Other guests I have include, friend and hospitality guru, Logan Wolfram, Alexandra Kuykendall, author of Loving my Actual Christmas and super excited to announce the first male guest on the show will be my pastor, Pastor David Uth. Pastor David will be bringing all the Christmas inspiration, so I’m looking so forward to it.
Guys- I need to tell you that I absolutely cannot do all of this without you. Since I launched chatologie in June, we’ve had almost 30,000 downloads from countries all over the world. That has happened because you have shared, liked, downloaded and started conversations that matter with your friends and it absolutely fills my heart with joy! Now I’m going to ask you to take your support of chatologie to the next level and visit my kickstarter campaign that launches TODAY. I’m raising $2000 for the holiday season to support all of the wonderful things I’ll be doing in the next 3 months. Even if you can give just a little to make these special things happen it would mean the world to me. Please visit chatologie.com where you will find the link to my kickstarter campaign. And give today. Now, as a special gift to those of you who give by midnight tomorrow (that’s Wednesday) I will enter you to win a free copy of Chrystal Evans Hurst’s new book, She’s Still There. You never know, I may even be able to get it autographed for you. SO, if you give to the kickstarter before Wednesday at midnight Eastern time, you will be entered to win.
OK guys- so there’s all the big news. Now, let’s get on with the show and let me introduce you to Chrystal.
Chrystal Evans Hurst is writer, speaker, and worship leader in addition to serving as the chief executive operating officer in her home as a wife, mother of five and grandmother to one. She is a self-proclaimed ”geek”; and bibliovore, who is actively seeking help for her addiction to Starbucks, sweet tea, and chocolate chip cookies. Chrystal is co-author of, Kingdom Woman and her second book, She’s Still There which just released. She also blogs and podcasts regularly at Chrystal’s Chronicles where she poignantly reflects her thoughts about her faith and day-to- day experiences. Chrystal firmly believes God’s promise in Jeremiah 29:11, “I know the plans that I have for you…” and she desires to help others believe and apply that truth to their lives.
