Ordained minister Dennis Hall discusses the difference between anarchist views about protests and civil disobedience and biblical submission. After reviewing the instructions in Romans 13 that outline the reasons to submit to society's authorities. He points out the many times that civil disobedience is seen in the Scripture. The Protestant reformation remains the most famous protest in the world. Christians do protest people and presidents that disparage the image of God, policies, and practices that fall short of loving neighbors, and systems that privilege some and exploit others. Christians protest the politics of the world that killed the author of life, Jesus Christ, and is dead set on killing his disciples. He closes the podcast by pointing out the questions that Christians should ask before participating in a protest or civil disobedience. The Scripture demands that we pray for our leaders and for God to intervene in His time to change any ungodly path that they are pursuing.
