On this episode of Cigars and Sea Stories, Mike is sitting down with Navy veteran Adam Moeller. Adam and Mike first met in Boston during a backyard fire. Mike and his family had just moved there and was getting to know everyone. He was fresh out of the Corps with lots of sea stories and Adam was eyeballing the military for a new career path. He’d already attained a bachelor's degree and had workforce experience but wanted to enlist in the Navy in order to gain perspective. So he enlisted as an airframe mechanic and began his training. After A-school Adam was sent to C-school, in pensacola, where he trained alongside Marines. That left an everlasting impression on the new sailor. PT on the beach can be an ass kicker.

During his time in service, Adam deployed to Central and South America in support of the U.S.S. Comfort. He shares some sea stories of long nights and air crews chippin in to keep helos airborne. The age old adage holds true, “if a helo isn’t leaking some fluid, you probably shouldn’t get on it”. Listen in to learn why.

Adam is off active duty now and has entered the Naval reserves, which an entirely different experience to say the least. He’s looking at making the leap to officer having earned his lumps in through the petty officer class. The Navy is better for having him. It’s always great have some sea worthy brethren join the team @CIGARSANDSEA - Non sibi sed patriae & Semper Fortis

The veterans ended their day of recording with some fun on the range. Cigars and Sea Stories gives a special thanks to our friend Matt for letting us dirty up his sweet Mosion Nagant. We had a ton of fun blowing targets to smithereens!
