If we know that there’s something in our history that puts us at a serious disadvantage for getting it right AND we are off the hook for getting it right because of Jesus death and resurrection, then we can start to make some changes in how we talk. If we’re not debating, defending and scoring points with some imaginary judge then we can actually dialogue. And real dialogue is transformational. It is at the heart of who we are in Christ and who we are as a circle of hope.
