One Million Trees Project

One Million Trees Project

As it’s February the garden is starting to make a reappearance on the podcast and blog. On the podcast this week I chat about the One Milion Trees in One Day Project and our back raised beds. There is a little about future plans and a visit to the Malahide Allotments with Fiona Kelly.

The Fibre Co and April in Paris

On the podcast, I have a look at these gorgeous Luma yarns in Sangria. These are really beautiful skeins described as a classic DK weight yarn, inspired by the mood and light found in mid-latitude savannas—those grassland ecosystems with open canopies allowing plenty of sunlight. I also take a look at the gorgeous April in Paris collection from Emma Wright and Hanna Maciejewska. Find out more on the podcast.

Laughing Hens Reviews

Amano Yarn Mayu

On the show today I have a look at the gorgeous new Amano yarn Mayu and a look at one of my favourites Manos del Uruguay, Maxima.

I also take a look at A Story in Yarn by Dee Hardwicke. This is a gorgeous book which is more of a guide on how to design and knit an heirloom quilt. The book discusses colour theory, how to make your own hexagonal segments along with beautiful seasonal knitting patterns. Find out more on the podcast.

Angelina from episode 8 of the podcast has kindly extended her discount as she as some more fabulous yarns going live on her Etsy shop. You can use the code COTTAGE10 to grab a 10% discount.

To celebrate the April in Paris collection launch Gallerie D’Apollon, a lace shawl designed by Emma Wright, is available for free download for the whole of February. Simply use the code ‘lumalove’ at checkout before 28th February 2017. A huge thank you to The Fibre Co. for that.
