STILL ANONYMOUS— On May 10, 1950, a mushroom picker named Benjamin Mills discovered the nude body of a redheaded woman that had been discarded down an embankment (known by locals as "Lovers Leap") on a secluded section of US 522 just outside of Berkeley Springs, WV. An autopsy revealed that the female had been strangled with a rope or similar means of asphyxiation in addition to being beaten.
She is described as being between the ages of 30-40 years, 5’5” tall and weighing 125-130 pounds. She has the following identifiable scars: a Y shaped scar on the outside of her right wrist, a W shaped scar on her forehead, a 4” appendectomy scar and a 10” hysterectomy scar. Though her eye color was unable to be identified, she did have red hair and freckles on her arms and hands.

Join the Cold Case Crew as they re-tell the story of The Morgan County Jane Doe a 1950 Cold Case from Berkeley Springs, West Virginia.
