The Crisis Center of Central NH helps survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, human trafficking, stalking and elder abuse. Last year, they helped 1,755 victims and survivors in Merrimack County. Every October on the first Wednesday of the month, CCCNH hosts Walk a Mile in Their Shoes. WAM is a light-hearted event to raise awareness about very serious issues – domestic, sexual and gender violence. They encourage the community to walk to show solidarity, support survivors, and to raise awareness of domestic and sexual violence in Merrimack County.
