“I don’t think that the end of routine means the end of jobs,” the futurist Gerd Leonhard stressed. “I think it just means the end of routine.”

That means fundamentally human qualities like design, storytelling, creativity, and innovation will loom in importance. But business leaders still need to prepare for some major upheavals.

Kevin Delaney, Connected Futures executive editor, chatted with Gerd about a world in which machines replace jobs — but, ultimately, won’t replace humans. A world that may be closer than you think.
