In this Spotlight Interview we talk to David Demers from ESight Eyewear. Although we are always cautious about raising peoples expectations when it comes to products that can help with vision loss, after viewing some videos of people using their product we knew we had to talk to this company to find out more. Here's some information from their website. eSight is the only patented, assistive-device of its kind anywhere in the world. eSight is wearable, hands-free, portable and comfortable. Most importantly, eSight requires no surgery. eSight is currently registered with the United States FDA and Health Canada. eSight works for legally blind people suffering from many different eye conditions including: Macular Degeneration Diabetic retinopathy Stargardt’s Disease Ocular albinism Optic Nerve Hypoplasia Optic Atrophy Leber’s Hereditary Optic Neuropathy Cone-Rod Dystrophy Nystagmus Retinopathy of Prematurity Some forms of glaucoma Some forms of retinitis pigmentosa (RP) In the interview we cover how the glasses work, how comfortable are they to use and just who can they help.
