When a recruit graduates the academy, they come out with all kinds of head knowledge and physical training. However, there is a process for them to take what they've learned and apply it to real life and real calls on the street. Field Training Officers are the facilitators of this process. Keith has been a Field Training Officer since 2007 and has trained numerous rookie officers. What is that like? What are some of the interesting stories of those training phases? Keith shares this, as well as what a typical very first day on patrol is like when he is training. Also discussed in this episode are some interesting calls since the last show and much more.
