A spirit of appreciation: Defined (by me) as when you have the ability or make the conscious effort to be more thankful and grateful of the small blessings in life, the natural beauty of this world, and the way everything works, including the awful moments of our lives.
In a world full of chaos and stress- more than ever before- it's so easy to get lost and to be ungrateful, losing sight of all that we have. I call upon all people to distinguish between wants and needs, helping open their eyes to what they already have rather than what they could have but don't need.
Not only that, but I examine with y'all the idea of humbleness and how it can play into our spirit of appreciation, drastically improving our ability to be grateful.
I also pull from the great wisdom of the Bible, examining how we can be grateful and appreciative of even the most tragic periods of our life.
From journaling to nature-strolls, I cover a few ways to keep track of the small conveniences of life, our health, and what we are grateful for to help hold us accountable and keep ungratefulness, greed, and pride away.
