Timing, and how it's perfect

Today I'm going to talk about perfectly timing. Those of you who listen to this podcast know that I'm a strong believer in spirituality and the Law of Attraction.

I believe our thoughts and feelings create our reality, and the reality we are dealing with right now is the result of how we used to think.

So if you don't like something or even anything about your current reality, all you have to do to change it is become aware of your thoughts and change them.

Abraham-Hicks teaches that everything comes to us at the exact right time. That there are no accidents and no coincidences.

If this is true, then every event in our lives has a purpose - even if we can't understand in the moment what that purpose might be.

Every good and bad thing that happens forms a larger pattern, and I believe we cannot only learn from that pattern, we can use it to live our best and happiest lives possible.

Reinvention Strategist and mentor Betsy Pake describes how reaching a certain milestone in your life - age 40, in this video - can help you to see the patterns of your life and how they prepare you for an amazing future. (Check out the link!)

Betsy Pake is also the wonderful coach that I mentioned on a previous podcast as being my coach.

And yes, now I'll talk about the session we had.

First of all, if you've never spoken to a professional coach, I highly recommend doing so. Coaches like Betsy are uniquely experienced in helping those who are in some sort of transition fly through that transition with much greater ease.

For me, it was all about getting support, advice and confirmation that I'm on the right track. I was honored and humbled that she took time for me on a Sunday evening to offer me a fresh perspective.

Since I'm a burgeoning entrepreneur, we spoke about some business and marketing strategies, but we also just talked about my dreams, goals and mindset.

It was everything I'd hoped for and more, and Betsy, if you ever listen to this, thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me.

Working with a coach is an extraordinary one-on-one experience. Friends can give you advice and professional counselors can help guide through difficulties, but a coach is like having both of those aspects in one person.

What an incredible blessing it was to talk to her!

Perfect Timing

One thing Betsy helped me to see if that the Universe has perfect timing. Everything that has happened to me in my life was preparing me and setting me up for this magnificent transition I'm now going through.

I've had lots of wonderful times in my life, but the not so wonderful times provides me with so much contrast and clarity. I'm able to narrow down precisely what I want out of my life and make a specific plan for how to achieve it.

I worked hard and graduated with honors with a teaching degree back in 1995, but was unable to use that degree until 11 years later.

I grew up in an entrepreneurial household, but that business didn't succeed financially.

I've been a teacher, a trainer, an insurance agent and a manager. I'm an author, both traditionally and self-published of both fiction and nonfiction. I'm a podcaster, blogger and coach.

And up until recently, I didn't see what all that apparent haphazardness was preparing me for.

But now I see it. And clearly!

I read to my students and talked in front of a classroom for five years so I'd be able to share podcasts, Facebook live videos, and speak in public arenas comfortably now.

I learned how to manage in the corporate world so I could come home and manage my own business.

I've learned how to Podcast, do videos, and coach so I can help writers who are struggling to rediscover their creativity, reignite that inspiration in a blaze of glory.

This is no accident and no coincidence.

God and the Universe has been preparing me for this moment in my life for decades now. Perfect timing. Everything I've needed to learn, I've been learning and continue to learn.

At 44, I know enough to know that there's so much I don't know. Ironic, isn't it?

And yet, I know quite a bit. I know what it's like to want to write, but to feel too stressed or exhausted to even consider sitting in front of that laptop.

I know what it's like to have time to sit down and write, and then have absolutely no idea what I'm going to write.

I know what it's like to have inspiration flow through me, and what's it's like to have inspiration avoid me like the plague.

I know what it's like to be very overweight and survive what's difficult in my life by scarfing down massive amounts of food.

I know what's it's like to sit in a doctor's office, frustrated out of my mind because I'm working a job I can't stand, to be told I'm obese and now have Type II diabetes.

I know.

And I also know how to reverse all those negative aspects in my life. I know how to change them from painful struggles and into hard won triumphs. I know because I've done and am doing it.

So if you're like me, over forty and in transition, then let me give one small piece of advice.

Use all your life experience and clarity to look back and see what you've learned. See what you're being led toward.

You have the opportunity to live the life of your wildest dreams if you want. And as a woman who is on the verge of realizing some of my biggest dreams, I'll tell you, you can do it.

If you're interested in living life on your own terms, keep listening. Or you can check me out on Facebook at my Writing in your Jammies page. Or you can find me on Twitter and Instagram. Or you can go to my coaching page and set up a free mini session with me.

Whatever you decide to do, know you are worth it. Know everything is coming to you in perfect timing.

Keep being unique, beautiful, authentic and a badass. Thanks for listening!
