Just like any ride, some things do not always go your way.

As these experiences add up over time, you begin to form opinions about why or why not something occurred.

But the thing is, sometimes those opinions are lies.

"The lies you tell yourself keep you from reaching what is yours."

Look at what happened yesterday with the Kansas City Chiefs and Cleveland Browns. And it wasn't about the star quarterback Patrick Mahomes #15. The pressure was all on Chad Henne #4. Finish what Mahomes started.

How do you breakthrough during times of challenge and controversy?

The K.I.S.S. ~ Ask the 2 x 2! "The lies you tell yourself become your absolute truths."

It is imperative to know what you are telling yourself. So ask yourself the 2 x 2 questions.

1. What are you measuring?
2. Who are you measuring it for?

And keep this in mind.

"Don't qualify the lie by qualifying your reaction. Change the quality of the question to gain a quality answer for your life!"

You can change the result simply by changing the answer.

What do you think happened when Henne had to make a play on 4th down? This what it. His decision to play into all the people who whispered behind his back saying you will never be the number one quarterback. You're only the back-up. Would he take that stand?

Or would he show up knowing his strengths and trusting his team?

As the ball was snapped, Henne rolled to the right while Hill positioned himself for the 5-yard catch to clinch the game sending the Kansas City Chiefs to the AFC Championship game.

You are never a second-string!!

Henne didn't perform any less than Mahomes would have. He decided that the challenge and controversy of whether the commentators and fans believed in him didn't matter.

He believed and determined how he would respond. Therefore, he claimed his victory before the game was even won.
