A dying elderly bachelor named Carlton Webster (William Hickey), wants to propose to his crush, a young woman named Linda (Kelly Preston). After being rejected for his age and realizing plastic surgery cannot do much, Carlton ends up meeting a discredited doctor who helps him slowly switch bodies with Hans (Rick Rossovich), an East German refugee.
