We cover a lot of ground during this episode...from learning a big lesson that we can never be "good enough"to prevent hardships and difficult circumstances in life to finding our purpose through every twist and turn in life.
"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you." Psalm 32:8
Meet my Guest:
Alicia Kiremire is an engineer, educator, and entrepreneur. She graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 2004 (B.S. Mechanical Engineering, summa cum laude) and went on to earn a master's degree in Educational Administration from Baylor University in 2006. She realized early on that she is not your "everyday engineer," and she has never looked back. Her unique combination of technical and relational knowledge has led to over 12 years of professional roles within project management, oil and gas design engineering, industrial workforce development, and university STEM retention (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). For the last eight years, Alicia has applied "flex work" principles to pursue her own life targets while contributing meaningfully to the goals of employers and clients. In 2014 Alicia founded FlowStream Management, LLC with a vision to rethink the rigid 8-5 workday of traditional STEM fields. Through FlowStream, Alicia offers grant writing and project management consulting to small government and private organizations.
When not working Alicia enjoys cooking, reading, taking pictures, and traveling with her husband, Dr. Ankunda Kiremire, who teaches Computer Science at Louisiana Tech University.
