on this episode of Culture Craft I meet with Carissa Gem. Carissa Gem is a DJ and promoter from western Canada. Carissa made a scene in British columbia’s Okanagan Valley by founding, organizing and curating a festival called Bushwacked. She’s since moved out to Alberta where she’s connecting with the diverse talents that make a variety of Calgary’s dance parties happen.
We’ll be discussing the remarkably respectful attitude of west coast ravers, the thrill and stress of event management, the legendary party that launched her career, the challenges and effort it takes to make a killer event, the rewards of giving people a life changing experience how to connect with your community.
