Manage episode 223296931 series 2440154
A direct response email is defined as something that is written to evoke an immediate response and compel the reader to take a very specific action - and usually, that is to click on a link in the email.
There's just one goal for that email - just one call to action. To get them to click on a link. And that one single link is peppered throughout the email, usually once towards the very top, once in the middle, and once at the bottom. And sometimes, once even in the Post Script or PS section of the signature. Of course, all of them will have a different link text - each time having a different verb or call to action, but all of them are basically linking to the same link.
But such emails are just one side of the email marketing coin.
