This week I dialled in to the 34th Annual Chaos Communication Congress (34C3) and spoke to two attendees, Eva Fitzelová (@Magica237) and Johannes Mueller (@JohMueDE), hosts of the Esperanto language podcast (kern.punkto.info) about Chaos Communications Congress, podcasting, and the Esperanto language. I was able to register a phone number on the 34C3 network, and dial in to the congress to speak to Eva and Johannes on their conference phones. We talked about Chaos Communication Congress, the Esperanto language, as well as allegations that the Chaos Computer Club, and the Chaos Communication Congress is not doing enough to protect its attendees from harassment, and sexual abuse.

Eva mentioned a lamp that she made for Congress, and we have managed to locate it in cyberspace:

Through this podcast I have learned that Germany is somewhat of a hub for podcasting innovation. Mentioned on the podcast were PodLove, which this podcast currently uses to publish, Studio-Link for calls and recording (which I am keen to soon try out). Also mentioned is Ultraschall, an interface for Reaper. To get a VoIP/SIP phone extension on the Congress network, I used Eventphone and the Linphone client.

Once again a shoutout to Maffi and Pupajim for the use of their track, “I am a Robot”, check out Pupajim ’em out on Bandcamp and check out Jahtari, their producer and record label. A special shout out goes to Jahtari in this episode, as Lepzig is their home town and base of operations.

Thanks to @laaarry for allowing us use of the picture of the rocket for this weeks’ podcast art.
