The fifth episode of Fire in the Dark, containing chapter three of Jacob and the Time-Traveler. Jacob awakens out of cryogenic stasis and broods over his favourite brooding subject: himself. Then, upon planetfall on Agathon, Jacob becomes enthralled by a mysterious scent that leads him to the Archeden Public House, where he meets Florence, the local barkeep. The Time-Traveler, meanwhile, makes an ominous discovery.
