Loneliness can strike anyone, anywhere, anytime. You can be in a room crowded with people and still feel alone. In fact 25% of Australian adults experience loneliness.

Loneliness can also lead to substance abuse, depression and thoughts of suicide, according to Lifeline.

It's a growing problem, and some of us are more at risk of feeling isolated than others.

We discuss our experiences with loneliness and isolation and some of the things we have tried to combat it.
