Slow Dance is one of my favorite songs that I have ever written. I wrote it in a very reflective state in the Beltway and which you look back at your life and you wonder if things would have been different if you would have asked that special someone to dance or what affects change based on your confidence levels. This songs about the two dances that I didn't go to put in visioning myself there if I had gone to prom. I think about what I would have done if I had the confidence and bravery to make the small leak towards asking that girl to dance at the right moment. I know looking back that it was so simple and easy and could have been accomplished, but at the time you let all those things in your head get in the way. Still, I was able to put myself in their shoes in this song when I wrote it and thinking about the lights turning blue and gaining the confidence to have that special moment with someone in this romantic song.
