In haar tweede bundel Hoi feest richt Ellen Deckwitz zich op mislukte haarverfbeurten, de frustraties van de puberteit, konijnen, de lichamelijkheid van religie en de ruimtelijkheid van het lichaam. Licht van toon en helder van vorm dansen de gedichten je hoofd binnen, tot je midden in de nacht wakker wordt en denkt: ‘Hoi feest?’ Jeroen van Kan spreekt met dichteres Ellen Deckwitz.
