De eigenzinnige en veelgeprezen film ‘Enjoy Poverty’ uit 2008 van Renzo Martens vormt voor programmamaker Susan Helmer de aanleiding voor een diepgravend gesprek met de kunstenaar en filmmaker. Martens gaat in de film in de weer met grote onderwerpen als de armoede in Afrika, de conditionering van onze waarneming, maar ook met kleinere problematiek zoals de rol van de filmmaker zelf. Ze zocht de omstreden kunstenaar op in New York, waar hij werkt aan een grote tentoonstelling die in juni in Berlijn te zien zal zijn.
