In the premiere episode of our new season, I am honored to speak with Dr. Graham Davey. He is the author of the new book, The Anxiety Epidemic – The Causes of Our Modern-Day Anxieties. Dr. Davey serves as an emeritus professor of psychology at the University of Sussex, and he is a former president of the British Psychological Society. He also currently serves as editor-in-chief of the Journal of Experimental Psychopathology.

In this episode, we cover a wide array of topics from the sources of anxiety, modern causes of anxiety such as perpetual connectivity, anxiety through the ages and the origin of phobias, socio-political variations in anxiety, as well as some amazing, practical tips on how to deal with anxiety in everyday life.
