We start a discussion with Sebastian Schieke at the beginning and how he got into entrepreneurship and building mobile teams. He started as most of us in that generation did with office jobs and dressing for work. Over the last fifteen or so years, there was a change. He started to find that he had a better pool of potential workers when he looked further than his local town. Well before the pandemic forced many into remote work, he used it to build out his teams quickly and precisely.

Mobile Teams - The New Normal

It seems like a long, long time ago when remote jobs were rare or frowned on. While some companies are transitioning back to office jobs, many of them stick with mobile teams and remote work. Thus, we are seeing those jobs as the new normal. Yet, while new, they do not change some tried and true challenges. The idea of building and strengthening mobile teams is not different from legacy teams in the same office. As we look ahead, Sebastian will show us how to build these teams and instill that feeling of working together even in remote situations.

A Little Background

Sebastian grew up in the communist part of Germany, where entrepreneurship did not exist. Since moving to west Germany at 14, he has always wanted to run the show. He never had a "real job." His journey brought him to where he is currently: An Entrepreneur, CEO Mentor+Coach, Business Angel, and Investor. He founded, ran, and grew multiple 7-figure companies. Likewise, he invests in startups, mentor and coach CEOs, and help them to move their teams forward. He has also gone through challenging times. He knows what it takes and how to get there, taught by business and life and not only through seminars and books.

There are two facts we have to accept: Change and Failure. Change is the only constant in today's world. We have to embrace it. Failure is inevitable; sooner or later, we all fail. Resilient leaders are not afraid of change; for them, change is fuel. Resilient leaders are not afraid to fail because failure means learning. The only difference is how fast we get up when life gets us down. Our passion is to help you increase your resilience.

If you run a growing organization, you know that the performance of your teams is key to your current and future success. The team members need the right mindset, openness, agility, and up-to-date skills and should live and breathe the philosophy of constant and never-ending improvement.

Developing resilient leadership and high-performance teams is no magic but focused and ongoing work. We use data and proven personality assessments to help you and us understand who you and your team members are. We can measure behavioral, motivational, and thinking tendencies and many more. It is like an MRI - you will be surprised.
