https://netbible.org/bible/Psalms+21-25/

This is day 164 of our journey.

Today's reading contains 6 psalms of deliverance. The psalmists constantly cry for help, but ALWAYS remember that God will deliver. God graciously gives his followers guidance and instruction. He upholds them in his power.

Psalm 22 begins with a familiar phrase: "My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?" This phrase was spoken by Jesus on the cross. Jesus was pointing back to this Psalm and causing those who were listening to remember the similar cries of despair from David. As we read through the Psalm, we quickly see the cries of despair turn to shouts of praise and victory. The Psalmist states: "He has done it!" Listen to the vivid descriptions that beautifully foreshadow what happened to Jesus Christ on the cross and of the coming Day of the Lord that is only possible because of His great love.

Join me in Psalms 21-25 and place your trust in the unfailing deliverer!
