Day 184 of the podcast, reading Psalms 119 NET, read along at:
This is day 184 of our journey.
Today we read the epic masterpiece of Psalm 119. This psalm is a celebration of God's law. It is written in the form of a long acrostic poem (in the original Hebrew). All 8 verses in each section begin with the same Hebrew letter, starting with Alef and ending with Tav (A to Z).
The psalmist expresses his desire to know God's law thoroughly so that he might experience the blessings that come to those who obey it. He values the word of God more than gold. He recognizes that the law of the Lord has brought him comfort and saved him from destruction. He upholds it above all else!
